Nursery

Murray was supposed to start nursery on 1st November. But due to sickness in the nursery he couldn't. So he's starting Tuesday 8th. Funny I always had the feeling he would start then. Not sure what to do with myself on a Monday and Thursday afternoons. Probably hit the gym.

A New Baby

For 2 weeks I've been wondering if my friend was ok. Then tonight I got 7 e-mails telling me that Leila Ruby had arrived on the 29th October at 7.32am weighting 8lb's 7oz. Congratulations to the proud parents Laura and John and can't wait to to get a cuddle from a very special baby.

Murray's 3rd Birthday

Murray wakened at 4am but with the clocks change got sent back to bed. He's been extremely lucky with what he has been given and has had a lovely day.

His football party went really well and murray wasn't the usual shy little boy that he normally is. He had a great time and even smiled while Happy Birthday was sung to him.

We're off to the Chinese buffet for dinner with the grandparents soon. But here are some pics.

I've made Murray a football cake. A bit lopsided as Murray repositioned everything but never mind.

2 and a half stone

WHOOOOOO Went to my weigh in tonight and was delighted to discover I'd lost 2.5lb's taking me to a total loss of 2st 8.5lb's in just under 9 months. I am absolutely delighted with myself and I also got my 2 and a half stone award tonight too. On top of that I am just half a pound of my target weight. I am just bouncing off the ceiling right now and delighted.

Next week is my 7th wedding anniversary and I am slimmer today than I was on my wedding day. Scary thoughts all that. So here's hoping that I keep all the weight off and still look fabby at christmas.

Got a Cold and a new toaster

Somewhere along the lines..... I got a cold. Been feeling really lousy and poor Murray's been neglected to watching Magic Roundabout. Although I don't think he is too bothered about that until it's time to collect Eilidh. At least it's happened now before I go back to work.

We finally got a new toaster. It's a chrome 4 slice one. I was fed up of whinging in the mornings because one child had toast before another child, so this way they get it at the same time and mummy's ears don't get a bashing.

It's also walk to school week just now. We've walked everyday and Eilidh has filled in her diary which they asked her to do. Well she's drawn pictures as she doesn't walk to write as she does enough of that at school apparently.

Any way that's all from us Folks.

Murray's Birthday Pressie

We've been shopping with just 4 weeks to the big day of Murray's birthday. We bought this http://www.elc.co.uk/sku-110737/p1-KeywordSearch/p2-41/Product.do and then realised that we weren't sure until we went shopping in Glasgow and ELC had one on display. I reckon Daddy and Muzz will have a ball with it. You can even buy extra cars and think we'll all have to have our own ones.

He's having a football party with a bouncy castle which he is very excited about. He's got all football themed things and he is also getting a set of Goals. All scary stuff. My baby is gonna be 3!!! Where's the time gone?

H*A*P*P*Y B*I*R*T*H*D*A*Y TO B*E*N on the 4th. He's Murray's wee friend who moved to North Carolina. He's 3 this week.

Interview Update

Well I really didn't know how the interview went last week. I felt positive that I had done well. But at the same time I really struggled on the blow your own trumpet question. I really will have to work on that for any next time.

So a week had passed and people were asking how I was doing. So this morning I was delighted to open the door and discover a huge brown envelope from the council saying that I had been recommended to go on to the next stage of the recruitment process. They have sent off my forms for the police checks and references. So fingers crossed that those are satisfactory and I get the formal offer of the job.

I'm absolutely delighted as it is meant to be in my opinion. Scary stuff, the thought of going to work, but must speak to my childminder to let her know that I will be requiring her very soon.
