Flower Fairies

Last year Auntie Caca took Eilidh and Christie to the book festival and while we were at the book festival this year with the school, we found a picture on the screen from the year below which had the girls in it.
So they have finally sent it to me. Whooooo. Eilidh and Christie's claim to fame at age 5! Eilidh is kneeling on the floor and Christie is stood behind her looking Angelic.

NEW YORK
This time next week I should be packed and ready to go. The reality is hitting me that I am going away but it doesn't feel real that I am going away. I've got so much to organise. Been looking up some pictures of where I am going. Bringing back some fab memories of 1997.
This is the Empire State Building. I remember visiting it the day I arrived in NY. From the street it looked nothing. But the views from the top were just fantastic. I couldn't get over how tall everything was.
This one is a different view. But it is an impressive building. Would love to take David and the kids there one day soon. Then there is Central Park. You realise our parks are nothing when you barely manage to see anything in the actual park on your first visit. I am sure there must be New Yorkers who have never been right through the park too.
The pictures are fall pictures (Autumn to you and me). They are just stunning.
Then you have the Statue of Liberty. Didn't go on the tour but we did a boat ride at night courtesey of Jane and Alex which was just fantastic. To go round the Statue at night was just so romantic. David said that too at the time.
So New York Here I come next week.

Murray's Appointment
We had the appointment for Murray's Weight and Height.
We got there and we had to do a wee for them and he got weighed and measured. He was 13.8kg and 90.7cm. Then we had a long wait as the Consultant was running late. A lovely lovely guy who really reassured us that Murray is developing well although between the autumn and winter months he appears to stop growing. So the GP is to care for us and any problems we'll go back and see the Consultant. Although Murray is the size of a 22 month old he's got a large head for his size. But he reckons by Puberty Murray may well shoot up. Then he decided we had to have xray's done just to check his bone structure and size and bloods done just to check everything. This was where it all went wrong. They chose to do his bloods done first. Unfortunately he has really crap veins and after 2 attempts on his arms they gave up and took blood out of his hands so he now has plasters everywhere. He was screaming and I found it really hard going. I was having to hold back the tears. He got snake plasters and they gave him a model plane for being such a good boy. The xrays went well.
As a special treat for being in so much pain from all the needles he got Power Rangers SPD 3 on DVD and a chippy for tea. Just need to wait on the bloods and xray's being reviewed as to if there are any other problems but he is a healthy well developing wee boy the consultant said.
Thanks for all the thoughts.
