Louise and Work = Louise Can't take the pace

After working 3 full days I was just about sleeping on my feet. In fact so much so that Sam my collegue this week really was calling me a light weight by lunch on Wednesday. I laid down on my bed for 5 minutes rest on Thursday and woke up nearly 3 hours later. I was in a right grumpy mood on Friday too cos I needed some rest and had to do P1 library.

Eilidh has her ballet show next week. She's a pony in the ballet show and doing a flamenco dance too. Although it will be a busy time next week I am looking forward to seeing her dance. 6 months ago we didn't know if she would dance again and I am so proud of the fact she has come through all the problems and is dancing well again.

Suppose that's all for just now but a nice wee update I hope.

2 weeks on

We're in to week 3 of January. That means there is a birthday on the way. Found last week hard going with working a Monday. For the last 2 years I've not worked a Monday and it's been a great start to the week. By the time I go to work on Tuesday I'm refreshed for the week ahead.

Being out of the house by 7.45am, round to the childminders then on to work arriving 5 minutes after when I am supposed to start with the teacher tutting. But it has been nice having a place of work and my own wee area. By the time 11.30am arrived on Wednesday, I couldn't wait to get going home and relax for 3 hours until I picked up child number 2 and hung about for child number 1.

This could be my last week there and I have to say that I am sad. I like the other Nursery Nurses and I am changing my mind about the teacher. I think it's just the way she is and that she doesn't hate me. I've enjoyed my time there and in one way want my Monday's back but in the other am enjoying the fun of being part of a team and doing the job I want to do.

As soon as I finish on Wednesday this week, I have to get cracking with my baking. Eilidh will be 8 on Friday and what started as a birthday lunch for 2 is now 13! Why the heck didn't I just arrange to meet them all at McDonald's? HAHA. So proper birthday lunch of Sandwiches, Sausage rolls, Sausages, Jelly and ice cream will be happening. I have got make your own party bags and instead of cake we are decorating biscuits to take home instead.

Happy Birthday to Chris, Eilidh's Godfather. It's a birthday celebration tinged with sadness as the baby who would be their godson, passed into the arms of the angels a year ago today. Thinking of his mum and dad on the 1st anniversary. They had 9 wonderful days with him and hoping that he is waving down at them from Heaven.
