MIx and Match

Was a busy weekend with our school fair etc. The fair day was a beautiful day and we had a lot of people there. Was shattered after it but my mum and dad took the kids away allowing us to tidy up. Funny how everyone always disappears when the tidying has to be done.

Sunday, David along with my mum and dad took the kids to Indiana. I went to see Sex and the City which was an excellent film. Then it was a lazy dinner.

Yesterday I got called to work at 7.55am. Think the school were a bit amazed that I was there so early. But it worked well. It was a quick day which I enjoyed but as I was leaving I had a missed call on my phone. Murray had an accident at school at 1.30pm when an older child knocked him over and he's cut the side of his head just close to his eye and has a massive lump. He seems fine but was a brave boy, he just told Mrs Nicholson who rushed him to the school nurse. Then he went to the space hopper activity.

He's fine today and it's Ruby Tuesday, so both children are wearing red and paying £1 for the Burma Cyclone Appeal. So we are chilling before I go to work. Will be off tomorrow as I am on the school trip for P1. We're off to the playsafe event at St Margaret's in Queensferry.

Work

I usually find round about after Easter supply work dries up due to everyone being well. But this year I've had non stop phone calls. Nurseries are phoning me and so are the office. The HR dept for education has gone electronic so someone totally new has taken over and instead of being about 8 different people it's the same one who has been phoning with the odd change. That's just great for me as it means continuity.

So I am off to work this morning. Am quite excited as it's just this morning and dh is driving me in. Will get the bus home if the car isn't ready as it's MOT day. Plan to chill out as I've been wakened since about 4.15am with various planes, trains and automobiles being very loud outside.

The Gruesom Twosome seem to be enjoying being back at school. Eilidh's reading group has been changed at school and she is very happy. She's reading the Otter who wanted to Know. Murray has the book which starts off the magic key adventures. So am excited about him reading those.

Don't think it's to be my week...

Yesterday at 7.45am I remembered I had 2 hours until my smear test. At least I remembered this time I had an appointment somewhere. Took children to school and Murray stood in a major mound of Dog Pooh! Why are there some dog owners who just don't care!?!? Brought said shoe home and bleurgh. I felt so ill and the house stank.

Today I took some work and was most miffed off when it got cancelled. The office phoned said nursery at 8.30am so why did it take them until 11am to say they didn't need me. Was so annoyed with them over that.

And now I have to go to Brownies and do bingo. It just isn't my sort of thing and could see it far enough. MIL couldn't come as she's at a funeral.

David kindly shared hiscold with Eilidh who just won't rest. I'm getting stressed that she will miss her dance show this weekend.

I think I need some KALMS to calm me down.
