Afternoon Out in the Old Town

We took the bus into town today. The bus wasn't that busy but the children were busy adding up all the passengers getting on to the bus, forgetting about the ones getting off.
We had some cheeky faces on the bus but at least no singing for once.

We went to waterstones as the children had book tokens to spend. Then we walked up to the Museum of Childhood. We headed right up to the top floor to make a change.
Murray and Eilidh did some threading with plastic shapes. They really enjoyed it. Murray did a duck.

Eilidh did a dog.

Murray meanwhile located a fishing game and pretended he was fishing for tea.
Eilidh finished her dog and showed it off.
Then Eilidh gatecrashed the fishing game.
We then walked down the high street to the People's Story. The children were a bit bemused at first and then Murray had a major strop at us going to the old Huntly House Museum and cried and jumped up and down and was still in a huff when I took this picture.
We then walked back up the high street and the children had an ice cream. We then walked down to Princes Street before heading into Corstorphine and going to the Library. Then we headed home.
A very tiring but enjoyable day. It was really nice to get out after 2 weeks stuck in the house and I appear to have shattered my children out. Whooooo. Only 2 weeks and 2 days to our holidays and I am starting to need mine.
