Thursday's Happy Moment

After a 20 week wait, My Gran finally has a HEARING AID!!!! She is amazed that she is able to hear again. We sat for an hour because my mum made us rush to get to the hospital. Then when the did call her both my mum and gran just sat there. I turned to the girl and said she's here but I'm not sure which one needs one!!! Then my mum realised it was my gran's turn. So at long last we can have conversations instead of all the nonsense which has been happening recently.

My Granny

My Gran, Harriet who was 80 in December had a particularly nasty fall. She was at my mum's and as she walked out the door she missed the steps and fell right out the door, smashing her head off the slabs and breaking her wrist. She was in quite a bad way. Thankfully she is home and slowly starting to do things but will probably take a bit of time to recover. But thankfully she is home and we haven't lost her like we thought we would have at one point.

My Gran's 80th Birthday

My dear Gran, Harriet, turned 80 on the 11th of December. She's always been a huge part of my life so it was a pleasure to spend her birthday with her. We went to McKenzies and had a lovely meal. David and I gave her a crystal with pictures engraved of all 4 of us in it and the kids gave her mickey mouse turqoise jewellery.

We couldn't fit 80 candles on her cake so we had 8 representing 10 years of her life.

My mum who never finishes meals, ate all her meal. I bet her a facial and amazing what she'll do to get a facial lol.
I think she had a great time over all even if she was shocked by the cake coming out and everyone singing Happy Birthday to her.
