Botanics

On Thursday Eilidh's Class had a trip to the botanics. The class of 30 were depleted to just 20 due to the high level of sickness going round the school. We had a nice wander about and looking at lots of things while the children drew pictures of plants and duck ponds and tree's. We were walking round when we went into the Chinese Garden which we were distracted by filming of some sort taking place but outside we found Bamboo Canes and the children had a ball trying to find one smaller than them. Only one child struggled to find one smaller than him.
After lunch on the benches at the top of the gardens, we had a tour of the glasshouses. Very interesting and the children learned a lot. We then headed back to the bus where we stopped for a toilet stop and spied a squirrel which wasn't running away(they had scared one at lunch time) and happily took the monkey nuts which some of the children brought with them.

It was a good day but I was so tired at night.
