THE BIG DAY ARRIVES

The Big day finally arrived. Eilidh woke us up at 5am and got sent back to bed. At 6.30am she got up again and asked to get dressed but she had to wait on havingher brekkie to keep her uniform clean as this is Eilidh we are talking about.

This is Eilidh, Mummy and Murray waiting in the playground

This is Murray who was feeling rather left out and enjoyed a brekkie at Tesco instead.

This is the first photo taken on the driveway before we left to go to school.

This is the full uniform with Blazer too This is Eilidh and Murray with Daddy at the school waiting on the doors opening.

We arrived at the school at 9.20am. We spoke to other mum and dad and most of the children seemed very excited to see each other again. At 9.30am the doors opened and we all went inside. We found Eilidh's peg which was number 4 along as she is number 4 on the register. Then we headed along to the class and we handed in Eilidh's homework and then had a family photograph taken. We then handed Eilidh over to her teacher Mrs Kerr-Peterson.

We collected Eilidh at 11.30am. I joked to 2 other mums that they would be in Alphabetical order and guess what, they were. We took her into see Granny Carlisle at work and then went for lunch. Daddy is now away back to work and it seems strange that my baby is now a SCHOOLGIRL. She can't wait to go back tomorrow.

The biggest laugh we got was Eilidh "There's no home work today but we will get homework on Monday!" She was very keen to tell us that. Here's to the next 11-13 years off school life eh? Though Mummy and daddy had a fight as mummy wanted to cry and daddy told her not too. Mummy thinks daddy doesn't have a heart.

Wow! Well done, Eilidh! But wait, she has homework to hand in on her first morning?! That doesn't seem very fair. And could her teacher have a longer name? What a mouthful for a bunch of five-year-olds!

The scary thing is it won't be that long before Murray and Ben are starting school!

They had to collect a shell or pebble on holiday and take a picture. Eilidh was chuffed as she handed in 3 of them and a piccie. I know at the name. Mrs KP went to uni with E's godmother too.
